Officials from Nokia are claiming that the company’s N-Gage mobile phone/console hybrid has met with a “very positive” consumer response. A statement from company CEO Jorma Ollila asserts "many outlets sold out of the device during the first day of release… Following on from this, we are seeing strong order intake from distributors and retailers." However, the company has failed to release any sales figures – with the only unofficial figures being those from UK games retailers, which saw less than 500 units being sold in the launch week.
