Event organizers have announced four keynote sessions for the forthcoming 2008 Nordic Game conference taking place May 14-15 in Malmö, Sweden, including Lego Star Wars producer Jonathan Smith, and Rock Band producers Rob Kay and Ryan Lesser, promising "special guests and surprises galore." Nordic Game representatives say the keynotes are set to "inspire and entertain both the industry and the press with a line up that represents some of most interesting happenings in gaming today." Traveller's Tales producer Jonathan Smith will present a keynote titled ”Putting the Pieces in Play” that will bring the audience behind the scenes of the makings of both Lego Star Wars and the forthcoming Lego Indiana Jones, including, say organizers, "special 'making of' material and previews of new work." Nordic Game has also said Harmonix producers Rob Kay and Ryan Lesser will present “We ROCK you,” on their hit title Rock Band, Zöe Mode's Ste Curran will present a talk on ”How video games adapt, subvert and destroy traditional narrative,” and Eurogamer TV's John Minkley will present a panel of Nordic region developers on "the special qualities that the ‘Northern Lights’ offer in a highly competitive global games industry." Elsewhere, Nordic organizers say the conference will bring "a wide variety of presentations, seminars and workshops," as "one of the largest events of its kind in Europe." More information can be found at the conference's website.
