nPower Software has announced release 3.0 of its Power Booleans plug-in for 3ds Max / VIZ. The software is described by the company as "extending 3ds Max with powerful, accurate, and fun polygonal Boolean operations", and the tool's scripting provides improved integration with production environments for fields such as game development, where much of the design process can be automated. New features for Version 3.0 of the tool include 3ds Max 7.0 support, a new Power Cutter tool ("the perfect tool for creating objects that explode, fall apart, shatter, or need to fit together like a 3D puzzle"), as well as improved performance and new video tutorials.
