Coming off the heels of the retail release of its latest multiplatform Destroy All Humans! 2, the Australian branch of developer Pandemic Studios has announced it will be adding a second development team to the studio to work on unnamed next generation titles. Founded in 1998, Pandemic has continued to grow following the retail success of both its licensed works such as Star Wars Battlefront II and its own properties like Mercenaries and the Destroy All Humans! franchise. Pandemic is currently developing the next-gen followup to Mercenaries with Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. Also in development are a number of yet unannounced next-gen titles at both its Los Angeles and newly expanded Brisbane studio locations, the latter responsible for the Destroy All Humans! series. “Pandemic’s Brisbane studio has enjoyed great success with the Destroy All Humans! series and we are excited to build on our tremendous base of Australian talent with the addition of a second team,” said Josh Resnick, president of Pandemic Studios. “With the release of Destroy All Humans! 2, our Brisbane studio is now turning its attention to the development of brand new titles for next-generation gaming systems.”
