Game and middleware developer Artificial Studios has announced that it has signed what appears to be a multi-title publishing deal with game publisher SouthPeak Interactive. The first title to be published by the newly joined company will be Artificial Studios’ upcoming title, Monster Madness. While previously announced for the PC and Xbox 360, the game is now being announced as in development for unannounced next-generation platforms, as well as continuing plans to debut for the PC. First announced just following E3 2005, Artificial Studios’ Monster Madness is a 3D top-down four player cooperative action game that is being built to utilize Ageia's PhysX technology. The game will allow for the mixing of local and online players as they cooperate and try to survive the invasion of their character's town by monsters. Each character has unique items and affects how the story plays out. "SouthPeak’s breadth of knowledge within the videogame space was very appealing to us,” said Jeremy Stieglitz, president of Artificial Studios. “With more than 10 years of publishing experience, we are excited to be working with them on our upcoming titles.” SouthPeak Interactive and Artificial Studios will be showing Monster Madness at the E3 in Los Angeles. However, the game will not be shown oat the convention center, and will only be viewed by select media at the Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles from May 9 through 11.
