Pre-E3: THQ Announces E3 Lineup

Today, THQ announced the complete lineup of titles it will have on display at E3 in Los Angeles next week. The company's offerings include internally developed next-generation console and PC titles, mass-market licensed products and new content for handhelds and mobile phones. The company's list of games for the show is headlined by the recently announced title based on HBO's The Sopranos, which will feature the voices of the show's cast and is currently in development for release this holiday season for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In addition, THQ will showcase products developed by each of the company's 14 internal studios, and from more than 25 independent development teams worldwide. Playable for the first time at the THQ booth will be Volition's Saints Row for the Xbox 360, as well as the cross-platform next-gen console title Frontlines: Fuel of War, developed by THQ's Kaos Studios. Other titles announced for E3 include WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007, which will be on display for both current and next-gen systems. The company will continue its long running motorcycle racing franchise at E3 with MotoGP '06 for the Xbox 360, with new tracks, bike models, refined handling, and Xbox Live functionality. Developed by Swedish development studio SimBin Development Team AB and recently signed by THQ, GTR will also be at E3 for the Xbox 360. THQ will feature numerous licensed properties at E3, including games based on the upcoming animated feature films Cars and Monster House, as well as SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab, Bratz: Forever Diamondz, Barnyard , and Avatar: The Last Airbender, each of which is scheduled to ship for next-gen and current gen platforms. PC properties announced to be shown include action RPG Titan Quest, created by Age of Empires co-creator Brian Sullivan, and his team at Iron Lore Entertainment, and Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War - Dark Crusade, the third expansion to the popular RTS based upon Games Workshop's popular tabletop miniature-based war game. Other properties to be shown include Relic Entertainment's Company of Heroes, and Supreme Commander, developed by Chris Taylor's Gas Powered Games and considered by many to be a spiritual successor to Total Annihilation. Finally, THQ Wireless will demonstrate its line of mobile games at E3. In addition to wireless extensions of console and PC brands listed above, feature titles will include Star Wars, NFL Football 2006 and others.
