Ageia Technologies, a developer of hardware-accelerated physics for games, made several key announcements during GC Developers Conference in Leipzig, including partnerships with both Trinigy and Nival Interactive. The company announced at the conference that its PhysX technology would be used within German-headquartered 3D game engine firm Trinigy's recently announced Vision Engine 6. Based on next-generation DirectX technology, the engine itself is also being shown at this year’s Games Convention. Ageia also announced that Nival Interactive (Heroes of Might and Magic V, Hammer & Sickle) has signed a license agreement to use the Ageia PhysX SDK in upcoming games and expansion packs in order to create game-specific physics functionality. Finally, the company confirmed that Turkish developer Céidot Game Studios has agreed to support Ageia's PhysX technology within its upcoming retro-futuristic PC role-playing game, Sovereign Symphony, while Scotland/Belarus-based game developer Steel Monkeys confirmed that Ageia's PhysX SDK technology will be used in the development of its upcoming PC title 2 Days to Vegas. The Ageia PhysX processor has been specifically designed to accelerate dynamic physical motion and interaction in games. More than one hundred games designed for and supporting the Ageia PhysX processor are in development from over 60 software developers and publishers. Game developer and publishing partners include UbiSoft, Cryptic Studios, NCSoft, Epic Games and Sega, among many others.
