Mystic Game Development, a real-time character animation middleware developer, announced that EMotion FX, its real-time character animation SDK for next generation multi-core processor systems, is being used by game developer Ani-Park for the development of an upcoming title. Features found in Emotion FX include realtime motion retargeting, integration with 3D Studio Max and Maya using plugins, multi-processor and multi-core support, facial animation and automatic lipsync generation, Inverse Kinematics and Lookat controllers, character customization down to per-bone level, over 50 API programming examples, and tutorial-style documentation as well an API reference. EMotion FX is currently available for both PC and Xbox 360 game development. “EMotion FX is the most essential engine in developing our game,” noted Dong-Hyun Kim, executive producer at Ani-Park. “EMotion FX supports almost every specification that we wanted to obtain. We firmly believe that with EMotion FX we are now able to realize our character engine with the quality we desire in a very short time.” Kim added, “We are even inspired by various functions of EMotion FX, so that now we expect to elevate the quality of the final game by utilizing the best of EMotion FX.”
