Major middleware firm Emergent Game Technologies has announced the launch of a new custom engineering division in order to meet the growing demand from customers seeking more tailored product integrations. The group will be lead by Linda Bonanno, and will allow Emergent to collaborate with customers in order to ensure they have the tools and resources they need to make the best games possible - on time and within budget. “We have a hard-earned reputation for outstanding customer support and we are actively building on that,” said Geoffrey Selzer, CEO of Emergent. “We believe supporting our customers should extend far beyond simply answering questions about our technology. Developers who want to build exceptionally creative, unique games while grappling with the rising costs and complexity of development require a deeper level of customization and service from their technology partners.” Emergent's current-gen game engine has been used in games such as Sid Meier's Civilization 4 and Playboy: The Mansion, and its next-gen engine has already been deployed in Bethesda's recently released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
