Swedish project management software vendor Hansoft announced that it will begin supporting Agile methodologies like SCRUM and eXtreme Programming at the end of the summer. Sharing the same name as the company, Hansoft is used for managing tasks and collaboration on a day by day basis by programmers, artists, project mangers and producers. Hansoft is also used by executives for portfolio management and by clients and outsourcing partners to be closely involved in the production without having access to its all parts. With the new Agile release, projects using Agile methodology with backlogs, iterations, and burndowns can exist parallel with task scheduling projects. Resource usage and portfolio management can then be run in one integrated solution. Agile can also be used for a subproject within a production project. For example, the milestone plan and parts of the production which naturally use task scheduling can be managed parallel to parts of the project that uses agile methodology. “Hansoft has always been a fast and easy collaboration tool for not only project managers but all developers. Now teams using Agile methodology will also be able to benefit from the usability,” commented Hansoft Managing Director Patric Palm.
