Developer Q Entertainment (Every Extend Extra, Rez HD) revealed that upcoming PlayStation 3 puzzle/music game Lumines Supernova will feature a "skin" with artwork and music from Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet. First appearing as a PlayStation Portable game with the system's launch, the Lumines series has since seen two sequels on the PSP and Xbox 360, as well as several ports for PlayStation 2, mobile, and PC. The games feature skins that provide a unique look for the puzzle board, as well as different music tracks and sound effects. Lumines Live!, released on Xbox Live Arcade in 2006, even offered purchasable packs for additional skins. Q Entertainment expect to release Lumines Supernova as a downloadable PlayStation Network game this winter, according to a report translated by game weblog Offworld. [NOTE: An earlier version of this article indicated an inverse relationship between LittleBigPlanet and Lumines, due to a mistranslation by a linking site.]
