Today's round-up includes a Phantom menace in Europe, a stock shakeup for Rumblefish developer Dimps, and a new arcade game announcement from Capcom. - Infinium Labs has announced that the Phantom console and game download system is destined for Europe, at some undetermined point after the console's eventual launch in the U.S. Though Infinium has not yet announced a European release date or price for the Phantom, Infinium CEO Kevin Bachus confirmed the news at the Develop Industry Excellence Awards, to a positive response from the crowd. The Phantom is still scheduled for release in North America before the end of 2005, though no set date has been nailed down yet. - SegaSammy Holdings is selling its shares of developer Dimps, creator of titles such as RumbleFish and Seven Samurai 20XX. Formerly the owner of a controlling (51%) share in the developer, SegaSammy has returned its shares in Dimps to the company's director, and pledged a moritorium on funding for the company. The future of some Dimps personnel, who originally claimed roles at parent company SegaSammy, has yet to be determined. Dimps still claims such major shareholders as Bandai and Sony Computer Entertainment. - Capcom has announced War of the Grail at the 2005 Amusement Machine show - a networked 3D hack-and-slash game for arcades. The network capability is used both to track player data, stored on individual player cards, as well as to play online with people in other arcades. The development team behind Grail hails from Capcom's Vs. series, with character designs by Kinu Nishimura. There is currently no release date set.
