Though a specific date has not been set, this would seem to indicate that the game could launch alongside the PlayStation 3 on November 17. The game is being developed by Day 1 Studios in conjunction with Monolith Productions. Day 1 is also developing the Xbox 360 version of the game as well. In addition, according to the game's official website, the PlayStation 3 version of F.E.A.R. will feature “new exclusive single player content...as well as the visceral action of F.E.A.R. multiplayer.” - UK developer Relentless Software (Buzz!: The Music Quiz) announced today that it has hired game developer Jeff Gamon as the company's new executive producer. In particular, Gamon will be responsible for the company's Buzz projects. He leaves Electronic Arts where he spent nine years as executive producer of the Theme franchise, early Harry Potter titles and most recently, partnering with Digital Illusions in the online components of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. The tentative release date is Christmas 2006. In addition, Steam Shovel representatives commented that the company is currently acquiring motion capture systems for future projects, with an eventual goal is to create full projects on handheld platforms. "This project is expanding the scope of what Myrtle Beach and South Carolina has to offer," said 803 partner André Pope. "We're showcasing local talent on an international scale." - The latest updates on Gamasutra sister weblog GameSetWatch include a Flash game that mixes Atari classic Pitfall with skateboarding, an arcade game flyer from Sega's Ollie King, and an interview with Gaming-Lessons' Tom “Tsquared” Taylor. - Also updated today: Serious Games Source news, including serious games being used as a deterrent to pain and fear in children, plus the latest Gamasutra job postings, featuring openings from Blue Fang Games, FunMobility, Iron Lore Entertainment, and KingsIsle Entertainment.
