Today's news round-up includes confirmation of a Revolution "hook" in Nintendo's next Zelda title, the announcement of an expansion pack for Activision's The Movies, and the official announcement of an upcoming game in the Untold Legends franchise for the PlayStation 3, as well as the latest GameSetWatch posts, product news and Gamasutra job postings. - Legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed on Nintendo of Europe's official site that the much-delayed Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will feature hooks for compatibility with the Revolution controller. "I would say that we are progressing well with completing [the game],” said Miyamoto in an interview. "And one of the most important features is that, because Revolution can run GameCube software, when you play Twilight Princess on Revolution you can take advantage of the Revolution controller." Players will evidently be able to use the motion-sensitive controller to mimic a variety of in-game actions, such as pulling the string on a bow. - Activision and Lionhead Studios have announced an expansion pack for film industry simulator The Movies. Called Stunts & Effects, the expansion will deliver what the name implies, namely stuntmen and visual effects studios to manage. The new gameplay elements will also be available in the movie-making toolset, which should allow greater flexibility in creating miniature films through the in-game engine. The Movies: Stunts & Effects is scheduled for release in the spring. - Sony Online Entertainment officially announced its first PlayStation 3 title, Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom. Part of the series established with its PlayStation Portable releases so far, the game will continue in the vein of the dungeon-crawler franchise with greater effects and capabilities on the next-generation system. ""Dark Kingdom will also feature online gameplay with the ability to adventure alone or with your friends through multiplayer modes as well as delivering content post launch through the PlayStation 3 system's online service," said SOE VP of marketing Michael Lustenberger. The game is due for release alongside the system's launch, currently scheduled for November 2006. - Today's stories on sister weblog GameSetWatch includes news on why UK TV show Red Dwarf is essential to MMO understanding, info on a baby chicken in a physics puzzle game, and the latest shoot-em-up column to end all shooter columns, among others. - Also updated today: product news on Genemation's GenHead 3.1 product launch, as well as the latest Gamasutra job postings, including openings from Electronic Arts - Los Angeles, LucasArts, Blizzard, Radical Entertainment, Blizzard Entertainment, Pandemic Studios, TimeGate Studios, Nokia and Kutoka.
