As part of the new agreement, Muze and IGN have assumed joint ownership of Muze's existing database. IGN will focus on content development, while Muze will provide marketing and distribution of the new MuzeGames product to retailers, video service providers, consumer electronics manufacturers, portals, libraries, and institutions in North America and the European Union. The IGN-powered database, marketed as MuzeGames, will offer content in three tiers, each offering different levels of video game information and media based on individual client requirements. "Games is a growing and fast-moving market. Our clients are looking for new and improved ways to capitalize on the opportunity presented in such a market, and MuzeGames will enable them to do just that," said Lonnie Chenkin, Muze's executive vice president of corporate development. "By partnering with IGN, Muze is able to offer the most comprehensive suite of games data available, and provides our clients with the flexibility to choose the data that's most important to them." - Representatives from European mobile developer and publisher Gameloft have announced a partnership with numerous carriers and handset manufacturers to set up exhibits to make available Paris Hilton’s Diamond Quest and Lumines Block Challenge to mall shoppers in both Los Angeles and Seattle. The games will be shown in mall exhibits for download and play this holiday season. Gameloft will be showing both games at the Westlake Mall in Seattle from October 20th-28, and at the Burbank Town Center in Los Angeles from October 26-28. “This is a great opportunity for Gameloft to bring the mobile experience to those beyond the traditional gaming crowd. Malls have always been a social centerpiece where all types of people come to shop, socialize and be entertained,” said Gonzague de Vallois, vice president of publishing, Gameloft. “We are excited to be able to bring our games to this core group of influencers.” - Major publisher and developer Konami announced Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits for the Nintendo DS.
