Gamasutra's weekly column, "Saling The World", covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide. This week's charts, with data taken from March 10th, 2011, find Nintendo's Pokemon White and Black heading multiplatform sales in North America and Europe, while Koei's Dynasty Warriors sequel Shin Sangoku Musou 6 takes top honors in Japan. Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. This results in a true sense of what games are selling worldwide on the real-time updated service, as follows: Multiplatform North America: 1. Pokemon White Version (Nintendo, DS), 2. Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy (Square Enix, PSP), 3. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (Capcom, PSP), 4. Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan Saisen (Bandai, PSP), 5. The newest entries in Nintendo's long-running Pokemon series lead multiplatform sales in North America and the UK, with the White edition proving the more popular of the pair in both regions. Dragon Age II also premieres as a top seller this week in the United States, as Sony's baseball franchise update MLB 11 arrives at fifth place in its debut week. Nintendo Wii North America: 1. Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft), 2. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo), 3. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Nintendo), 4. Michael Jackson: The Experience (Ubisoft), 5. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo). Japan: 1. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo), 2. Wii Party (Nintendo), 3. Fitness Party (Bandai Namco), 4. Wii Sports Resort with Wii Remote Plus (Nintendo), 5. Shape Boxing 2 Wii de Enjoy Diet (Rocket Company). UK: 1. Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft), 2. Just Dance (Ubisoft), 3. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo), 4. Wii Party (Nintendo), 5. Kirby's Epic Yarn (Nintendo). Just Dance 2 again heads Wii software sales in the U.S. and in Europe, while Wii Fit Plus and New Super Mario Bros. Wii climb up to second and third place in the domestic charts. Wii Fit Plus also sees a successful week in Japan, where Wii Party and Bandai Namco's recently released Fitness Party claim top chart spots. Xbox 360 North America: 1. Dragon Age II (EA Games), 2. BioWare's Dragon Age II premieres as this week's highest-selling Xbox 360 title in the United States, pushing former chart leaders Call of Duty: Black Ops and Kinect Adventures to second and third place. The limited Memorial Box edition of Sega's arcade-ported Virtual-On Force leads Japanese sales following a steep drop in price at Amazon, while Black Ops continues to lead over FIFA 11 in the UK.
