Software tools manufacturer SN Systems is to open a new satellite office in Dublin, Ireland with the new studio being focused on research and development for the ProDG development tools. Acquired by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) in 2005, SN Systems produces widely-used PlayStation tools such as ProDG, Tuner and SN-DBS. The new offices will be led by company veteran Matt Bush, who has nine years' experience working on PlayStation formats. The new office will see the creation of a number of new positions within the company and is intended to be only part of the business’ ongoing expansion, which will also include new offices for the Bristol, UK headquarters later in the year. Says SN Systems director Andy Beveridge, "As part of the on-going development process, we’re finding that in order to recruit the most talented staff, we need to have offices in numerous locations." "Last year, we opened our first US office in San Jose, California, and this year, it’s Dublin. Both offices will grow in numbers quite rapidly as we plan to recruit more staff to cope with the demand of supporting PlayStation game title developers worldwide."
