This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending March 9, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart. While previous weeks and months have been dominated nearly exclusively by games released for the Xbox 360, this latest chart finds Sony's highly anticipated God of War II for the PlayStation 2 as the most requested game across all consoles. Ubisoft's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for the Xbox 360 ranked as the second most requested title on the week's all platform chart, followed by Electronic Arts' Def Jam Icon. These two titles ranked as the top two requested Xbox 360 titles for the week, while Microsoft's sandbox action game Crackdown rounded out the console's chart in the third position. Looking to the Wii, EA's recently shipped SSX Blur took top honors for the week, followed by mini-game collection Wii Play and Sega's Sonic and the Secret Rings. Elsewhere, PlayStation 3 requests were topped by Sony's racing game MotorStorm, with EA's Def Jam Icon and NBA Street Homecourt filling out the second and third positions respectively. As expected, God of War II ranked as the top requested PlayStation 2 release for the week among GameFly subscribers, followed by Take Two's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and EA's Burnout: Dominator. On the original Xbox, it was Take Two's Major League Baseball 2K7 that proved most popular for the week, followed by Family Guy, also from Take Two, and Activision's Call of Duty 3. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess again ranked as the most popular GameCube title for the week, followed by other first party releases Mario Party 7 and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Nintendo DS requests were topped by Nintendo's recently shipped Wario: Master of Disguise, while the company's Pokemon Diamond and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 filled out the top three requests for the handheld. Game Boy Advance requests were dominated by Square Enix's Final Fantasy VI Advance and Final Fantasy V Advance in the top two spots, followed by Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald. Finally, looking to the PSP, the top requested game for the week turned out to be Eidos' move inspired 300: March to Glory, followed by Sony's own MLB 07: The Show, and the portable version of EA's Burnout: Dominator.
