The website of Japanese consumer magazine Famitsu has featured an interview with Sony Computer Entertainment CTO Masayuki Chatani. In the interview he states that, "We'll definitely be able to launch at the end of the year. Rest assured. The state of development for the PSP is far better than it was for the PlayStation at the time." With the first appearance of print advertising for the PlayStation Portable occurring in Japanese publications this month, it does indeed seems as if Sony are still planning for an early December launch. However, Chatani, and Sony at large, still remain tight-lipped about the all-important pricing and battery life of the console.
