Representatives of Square Enix have announced that the company will be developing a range of titles for mobile phone platforms. The company will be working in partnership with Japanese telecommunications giant NTT DoCoMo, who own the i-Mode standard that is prevalent across Japan. Specific titles have not yet been announced but the company has indicated that the first few titles will resemble 2D, 16-bit, titles drawn from many of their most famous series, including Dragon Quest (aka Dragon Warrior) and Final Fantasy.
