Sam & Max episodic game developer Telltale Games has followed up on the teaser it posted to Gametrailers last week with an announcement of a brand new title called Poker Night at The Inventory. The game will feature "a new style of poker" and feature high profile characters from games and comics, including Homestar Runner's Strong Bad, Penny Arcade's Tycho, Sam & Max's Max and The Heavy from Team Fortress 2. Telltale CEO Dan Connors elaborates on the game's concept in the official announcement, saying, "We've had the idea for some time of exploring the idea of what video characters do when they're not ‘on the clock' in the games we play." "We pitched the idea to friends in the industry and it really resonated. We all had a great time imagining what these guys would banter about while slinging cards – from there Poker Night at The Inventory was born." The game will be coming to PC and Mac this fall and will retail for $4.99. Preorders are currently open through the Telltale store and offer a 25 percent discount on additional purchases as a bonus for ordering. Telltale Games are also taking preorders for the game this weekend at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, Washington, and giving away free Poker Night at The Inventory posters.
