Representatives from Burbank, CA quality assurance facility Testronic Laboratories have announced the appointment of industry veteran Seth Hallen as the company's senior vice president as the company plans to further grow its games testing capabilities. Testronics Laboratories' specialty is providing QA services and consultancy to the DVD, video, audio, games, e-learning, communications and new-media industries. In his new role, Hallen is expected to deepen Testronic's relationships with existing clients including Disney, Paramount, Warner Bros, Sony, Deluxe and Technicolor, as well as building the company's client base, and manage growth with more studios switching DVD libraries to HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Hallen has also said he plans to grow the company with further expansion into interactive games testing. Prior to his position with Testronic, Hallen served as executive vice president of production and post facility Standard, and most recent served as vice president of North American operations at editing solution developer Lightworks. Testronic also notes that just prior to Lightworks, Hallen won an Emmy Award in 2005 as producer of cable talk/reality tv show, TalkShow.TV, which was honored as Best Magazine Format Broadcast. Said Hallen on company growth further into the games industry, “We are discovering a growing need of video game publishers and developers for games testing outsourcing, and since Testronic currently leads the market in home entertainment quality assurance, this is a natural evolutionary path for us.” He added, “Testronic Labs is already well established in games testing in Europe, and because we have strong long-term relationships with several major studios that are also in the video game market, we are in a very powerful position to provide superior games testing services in the U.S. In addition to being a movie fanatic, I am an avid gamer so I am personally very excited about our future.”
