Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
THQ has entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of Minneapolis-based ValuSoft Inc., a publisher and distributor of value-priced games and productivity software.
The deal gives THQ new reach into the casual-gamer market segment that ValuSoft serves with low-priced software. THQ says that ValuSoft's expertise in distributing to this market segment will help it distribute its line of PC games in the $9.99 to $19.99 price range. "ValuSoft's ability to effectively manage short product development schedules and deliver high-quality products is unparalleled in the growing value segment of the market," said Jeff Lapin, THQ's vice chairman and COO.
