Def Jam Rapstar Co-publisher Autumn Games today announced a multi-year agreement with Famous Games, a new company founded by veteran industry executive Jack Sorenson. Not much is known about the new company, or what kinds of games it will create under the new agreement, though a teaser web site urges visitors to "stay tuned" with a full-screen stock photograph of gathered paparazzi. "Interactive gaming is at an exciting crossroads," Sorensen said in a statement. "Despite some of the mournful press out there about our industry’s future, we are excited about the platform transitions and disruptions in traditional distribution happening in gaming." "Jack is one of the truly visionary talents in the executive ranks of the games business,” said Autumn President and CEO Jason Donnell in a statement. "Interactive entertainment is evolving quickly. Jack’s vision for the future of entertainment, combined with his exceptional track record in game development, makes him and his team an ideal partner for Autumn." Sorenson served served as president of LucasArts for most of the '90s before moving on to THQ, where he served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Studios until 2008.
