Worldwide game publisher THQ Inc. has announced an international sales and distribution agreement with U.S.-only publisher Majesco Entertainment Company. Under the terms of the agreement, THQ will sell and distribute 14 Majesco titles for the current console, handheld and PC platforms over a two year period in all PAL territories, including both Europe and Australasia. The sales and distribution deal covers titles such as the console and PC platform-action game Psychonauts, which will now get a European release from THQ, forthcoming movie license Jaws Unleashed, DS title Nanostray, marquee movie adaptation Aeon Flux, and portable versions of both Age of Empires 2 and Black & White Creatures, and will likely help Majesco further, following its recent financial outlook issues that led to the resignation of Majesco's CEO, Carl Yankowski. "This is a great opportunity for THQ to expand its portfolio of products internationally," stated Ian Curran, Senior Vice President, European Publishing, THQ. "Working with Majesco on such critically-acclaimed games as Psychonauts and key licensed properties such as Jaws is a great opportunity for THQ to expand our business and realise the success of these titles globally." "This initiative significantly expands Majesco's global presence," said Jesse Sutton, president of Majesco. "THQ is recognized worldwide as a premier publisher and we are excited to partner with them to effectively extend our brands throughout the global community."
