Tira Wireless has announced that THQ Wireless has licensed the Tira Jump Product Suite, which enables enables automated cross-platform porting of mobile phone games, reducing the amount of effort necessary to convert a title from one handset specification to another. According to Tira, when using the Tira Jump suite, developers can save time and resources while maximizing the number of platforms their games are offered on. THQ joins the ranks of other major mobile entertainment companies, including Disney Mobile, Sony Pictures Mobile, Dwango Wireless, Pixiem, T-Mobile, TELUS Mobility, Sony Ericsson, and Nokia, that have also licensed Tira Jump to manage the deployment of their mobile content assets. Gary Kanazawa, vice president of product development, THQ Wireless, commented: "As a company, we have been focused on in-house managed porting solutions and by extending our relationship with Tira and using the Tira Jump Product Suite, we are taking one more significant step along this road.”
