Tira Wireless has announced that Dwango Wireless, a Seattle-based leading developer and publisher of mobile entertainment content, is licensing the mobile middleware Tira Jump Product Suite, which enables enables automated cross-platform porting of mobile phone games, reducing the amount of effort necessary to convert a title from one handset specification to another. Under terms of this agreement, Dwango gains access to Tira Wireless' porting and global mobile handset knowledge as well as the Tira Jump Workflow Manager for the efficient management of the mobile content deployment process. Dwango's mobile content offering covers the spectrum of games, ringtones, messaging, images, video clips and other mobile technology applications. "The global market for mobile content and applications continues to expand rapidly," said Rick Hennessey, CEO of Dwango Wireless, Inc. "We look forward to working with Tira's Jump technology, which will help manage our premium mobile content and its efficient deployment to the constant stream of new handsets entering the marketplace." Airborne joins the ranks of other notable mobile entertainment companies, including Airborne Entertainment, Disney Mobile, Sony Pictures Mobile, THQ Wireless, T-Mobile, TELUS Mobility, Sony Ericsson, and Nokia, that have also licensed Tira Jump to manage the deployment of their mobile content assets.
