Tira Wireless, provider of the Tira Jump mobile game middleware, and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, has announced the opening of its office in Los Angeles, CA. With this opening, Tira hopes to establish a local presence in the Southern California market which it views as a hotspot for entertainment and game development. “Los Angeles is one of the key centers of the global entertainment industry and that industry is embracing mobile in a big way,” said Matt Golden, VP Business Development at Tira. “Many of today’s top entertainment and video game companies are adding the mobile medium to their distribution mix and are turning to Tira Jump technology to adapt, test and deploy their content across the hundreds of device models available. Opening an office in LA further strengthens our commitment to this growing market.” The contact person listed for Tira's Los Angeles office on the company's official website is Stevana Case, presumably the full name of notable former female cyberathlete and developer Stevie 'Killcreek' Case, whose game career was most recently prominent as Vice President at mobile development firm Monkeystone Games. Tira Jump technology, which is used for mobile content adaptation, testing, deployment, and quality control, has been utilized by Disney Mobile, I-Play, Sony Pictures Mobile, Telus Mobility, THQ Wireless, and T-Mobile.
