Dutch developer Two Tribes (Worms: Open Warfare 2) has announced it will be bringing a version of its GameBoy Color original puzzler Toki Tori to Nintendo's WiiWare service for its U.S. launch on May 12th. Traditionally a mobile and handheld developer, having been behind a number of Worms titles for the DS and N-Gage, as well as versions of Bonk and Monkeyball for mobile phones, Two Tribes notes that the WiiWare release of Toki Tori marks the studio's console debut. The developer says the WiiWare version of the GameBoy Color platform/puzzle game originally released by Capcom in 2001 will "improve the original on every front" with a new control scheme and new look. While the game is readied for release with the American launch of the WiiWare service, Two Tribes says that the availability of the game across Europe and Australia "will depend on the roll-out of WiiWare in those territories."
