Ubisoft has announced that it has hired former Sony BMG Music senior sales VP Rick Wilcoxen as its new vice president of sales, where he will be responsible for overseeing the publisher's national sales team and expanding its sales organization across the U.S. Ubisoft says Wilcoxen has more than three decades of sales experience, primarily in the music industry, where at Sony BMG and BMG he drove "millions in sales." Before BMG merged with Sony, Wilcoxen was senior VP of field sales for the company, where Ubisoft says he "championed the development of BMG’s collaborative sales environment which led to several music industry sales records throughout his tenure including a number of 'Vendor of the Year' awards." Said Ubisoft senior sales and marketing VP Tony Key, “Rick is a proven leader with a highly successful track record for building and leading large, record-breaking national sales teams. Ubisoft is excited to have him on board and is looking forward to harnessing Rick’s knowledge and experience to further drive Ubisoft’s success in the North American gaming market.”
