Ubisoft's third quarter results from fiscal year 2004-2005 have been announced, and they see the company in a better position following its holiday releases. The company took in $231 million in sales during the third quarter, and projects $273 million in sales for the fourth quarter of 2004-2005, with 18-22 million euros ($22-27 million U.S.) in profit for the entire year. Major Ubisoft titles reached good worldwide sales totals during the third quarter: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within sold 1.9 million copies in one month after its release, while Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 sold 1.4 million copies in seven weeks and The Settlers: Heritage of Kings sold 220,000 copies during a five-week run in Germany. The company is also looking ahead to the fourth quarter of 2004-2005, and set goals to achieve for the rest of the financial year. They hope to bring annual sales up by 10 percent, partly helped along by the release of four key games during the final quarter: Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Cold Fear, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown. "Ubisoft is well on its way to meeting its fiscal-year objectives and can count on an excellent year in 2005/06," said Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft. "This proves that our unique assets, brands and studios, are generating significant growth and profitability."
