Officials from Nintendo of America have moved to clarify the number of games available for the Nintendo DS console when it is launched in the US on 21st November. The company has stated that 10-12 games will ship “in the first 30 days of system availability”, with 20-25 titles expected by the end of the first quarter of 2005. Although the company has still not specified which titles will be available on the actual day of launch, those scheduled for release in the first thirty days include Super Mario 64 DS (Nintendo), Madden NFL 2005 (EA), Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf (EA), The Urbz: Sims in the City (EA), Spider-Man 2 (Activision), Ping Pals (THQ), Feel the Magic: XY/XX (THQ), Rayman DS (Ubisoft), Asphalt Urban GT (Ubisoft), Ridge Racer DS (Namco) and Mr Driller: Drill Spirits (Namco). Oddly this list contains only one first-party Nintendo title, and not the full version of Metroid Prime: Hunters – a playable demo of which is included with the console.
