Dundee, Scotland-based VIS Entertainment announced yesterday that it will close its Isle of Wight development studio in an effort to cut costs.
The company said it will also make cuts in its two Scottish studios, in Dundee and Dunfermline, as well as in a London office. VIS, Scotland's largest game developer and the company behind State of Emergency, said the move was part of a business restructuring that would result in a 25% cut in operating costs and "enable the company to concentrate on production of its key games products." The Isle of Wight studio employs 18 people.
