Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) (Lego Batman, Speed Racer) has announced that Warner Bros. vet John P. Quinn has joined the division as Executive VP of worldwide operations, where he will oversee the further expansion of its publishing operations. WBIE says Quinn has some three decades with Warner behind him, joining in 1977 as sales director for Warner Music's sales and distribution division. After that he became senior VP of sales at Warner Home Video, overseeing the growth of the group from $136 million to $2 billion annually. The company says Quinn has overseen a number of initiatives from the transition of Warner Home Video from a rental model to a home-ownership model, the launch of the DVD format, and the establishment of global sales processes. Said Warner Home Entertainment president Kevin Tsujihara, “During the past 12 months, John has been instrumental in establishing Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s global sales and distribution organization and infrastructure. He brings with him a vast amount of expertise in sales, distribution, operations and supply chain that will allow us to continue to grow in the publishing side of the games business.”
