Games Media Properties, which recently announced the first World Series of Video Games (WSVG) competition, today confirmed a partnership with Ubisoft to launch Ubisoft's ClancyCon as part of each upcoming WSVG US event. ClancyCon will launch at the inaugural Microsoft and Intel-sponsored WSVG event in Louisville, Kentucky, June 15-18 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. ClancyCon will give attendees a chance to compete playing titles from Ubisoft's Tom Clancy video game franchises, and see previews of upcoming games. In addition, WSVG will host the official tournaments for Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter wherein teams of two players will compete for $50,000 in cash and prizes over the course of the WSVG's US events and finals. During the WSVG US events, the area devoted to Ubisoft's ClancyCon will include 200 dedicated seats for attendees to set up their own computers or Xbox consoles in order to participate in multiplayer competition. The exhibition will also include a special Frag Dolls Lounge where participants will be able to meet and play against the Frag Dolls, the Ubisoft-sponsored team of professional women gamers. ClancyCon will also host speakers from Ubisoft's development teams who will offer insight into upcoming features coming in Ubisoft's Tom Clancy franchises.
