Publisher Microsoft has announced that its next regular Xbox Live Arcade update will see the addition of Coffeetime Crosswords from Frogger 2 developer Voltex, as well as a price cut for Infinite Interactive's RPG/puzzler Puzzle Quest. Microsoft says Coffeetime Crosswords will feature more than 150 puzzles for all skill levels, as well as both solo and two player co-op play via Xbox Live. The title, priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10), is published by Konami and developed in association with crossword publisher Penny Press. First released in October of 2007, Puzzle Quest, originally released for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15), will also see a permanent price reduction to 800 Microsoft Points ($10). The move could be a prelude to the release of the previously announced expansion to the game, to be titled Revenge of the Plague Lord, which is due for a "Spring 2008" release. The pack is expected to add further gameplay hours, 50 new spells and 40 new items, as well as four new Hero professions: Bard, Rogue, Ranger and Warlock. Additionally, the Southern Map will be expanded with 25 additional quests.
