Social and casual gaming start-up Zattikka announced the appointment of Peter Jones, a 20-year industry veteran who's worked at studios like Codemasters and Lionhead, as an executive producer. Jones will work with Zattikka's product development head Matt Spall, another figure who's put two decades into the industry, and oversee the newly established studio's external partners and products, which include mainly social and casual titles across both online and mobile platforms. Most recently, Jones was a product development director at Codemasters Software. Prior to that, he worked at Lionhead Studios on releases like Fable II and Black & White 2, and at Argonaut Games on the developer's Harry Potter projects. He's also spent time at Acclaim Entertainment, Sega Europe, and Virgin Interactive. Though it opened just a year ago, Zattikka already has more than 100 titles under its belt. The London-based studio produces at least two new games each week, and its catalog attracts more than one million monthly unique users. The firm raised $5.5 million through its parent company Expedite 5 last month, which it's putting toward expanding its library. "I’m delighted that another senior industry figure such as Peter has chosen to join our rapidly growing team," says Zattikka Founder and CEO Tim Chaney. "He will play a key role in ensuring that our users see Zattikka as a provider of premium product and experiences."
