Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Everyone who signs up will get a GDC 2022 Indie Game Summits pass and the chance to take part in a charity event to support Compass Family Services.
The Game Developers Conference organizers are pleased to announce that GDC 2022 has once again partnered with Indie Giving by donating GDC Indie Game Summits passes to the 2022 charity event, with all proceeds and volunteering time going to charitable works in the Bay Area.
The Indie Giving event is a special program designed to help game developers attend the 2022 Game Developer Conference in San Francisco as well as contribute to local charitable organizations. Everyone who signs up for the $399 Indie Giving package will get the chance to take part in a charity event to support Compass Family Services.
Here's how it works: Indie Giving participants will meet ahead of GDC 2022 to pitch in together on a humanitarian service project for Compass Family Services, an SF-based organization helping families who are experiencing homelessness and those who are at risk become stably housed, emotionally and physically healthy, and economically self-sufficient. In addition to GDC Summits passes, participants will receive lunch and an "awesome t-shirt" on their volunteering day.
All the profits from these ticket sales will go to homeless and inequality-focused charities in the area.
GDC would like to thank Indie Giving sponsor MobileFuse for supporting this incredible program. To participate and help make a difference, head over to the Indie Giving website now!
