Bristol, UK / September 26, 2024 - Falling Limbs, the exciting and bloody samurai-inspired platform fighter, made its small screen debut today during the Convergence Games Showcase. To celebrate, developer Archive 11 has announced that players can enjoy a hands-on experience with the game’s first-ever demo, available on PC today via Steam!
Falling Limbs is a 2D fighter featuring hand-drawn, ukiyo-e artwork and unique combat that embodies the game’s samurai-inspired visual style. Up to four foes face off using a variety of ancient Japanese weapons, ranging from deadly katanas to a thunderous cannon. Limbs will fly and blood will spill across multiple stages as players take advantage of falling crates and stalk foes in tall grass.

Falling Limbs will include a wide range of unique and exciting features, such as:
Fully hand-drawn environments, with every color derived from an authentic Japanese dye from the golden age of ukiyo-e. Every scene is composed according to the methods and principles established by the art form's illustrious forefathers.
Weapons from every school of training, from katanas, spears, and clubs to bows, matchlocks, and even a devastating cannon.
Customizable armor, patterns, and colors to bring a distinct style to the battlefield. Choose from a host of options with trillions of possible combinations. Unlock more customization options by completing feats on the battlefield.
Frenzied battles and fateful duels, featuring old rivals at home or new foes online.
Multiple play modes, including Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Shoot Out.
