PORTSMOUTH. ENGLAND, March 2nd 2022 - Freejam, the award-winning development studio that focuses on creating innovative UGC games have released a major update to their latest title in development, TECHBLOX

Techblox is a free-to-play powerful physics building game where players can create a variety of machines out of blocks, bring them to life and compete against others online across dedicated persistent servers.

The latest update introduces jet thrusters as well as an assortment of complimenting parts like stabilizers and distance sensors. The community have already used many of these parts to create working hover vehicles, flying machines and other incredible contraptions.

Mark Simmons, game director of Techblox said:

“We’ve already seen a huge number of players construct wonderful machines that go beyond even our expectations. But this is just the very beginning of our plans to introduce new types of movement parts into Techblox. We want to see tanks, mechs, planes and even spaceships in the future”

“There have been a lot of machine builders released since we launched Robocraft in 2013, but very few have gone down the route of providing a fun and interesting online competitive experience. Racing is our first game mode in Techblox, but in the future, we’ll have tank battles, obstacle courses, football and more.”

This major update adds up to 16 player online racing across three maps. Each player is able to bring in their own creation, drive it and compete against others. Freejam’s next plan is to provide players with a progression system that will reward players with Tech points which can be spent to unlock new items.

The game is currently in pre-pre-alpha and will see a number of major features within the coming months, including new game modes, movement parts and a progression system that will let players unlock new items.

Techblox is available to download for free via the official website at Techblox.com
