18 teams ready for a showdown at Esports World Cup: Free Fire this week
From Jul 10 to 14, the best teams from local Free Fire leagues and qualifiers will battle it out for a USD1,000,000 prize pool
The champion will also be the first team to secure a slot in the year-end Free Fire World Series Global Finals 2024 in Brazil
Esports World Cup: Free Fire will be live streamed at 10pm GMT+8 daily, on multiple streaming platforms including YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok
Singapore, July 8 2024 – The highly anticipated Esports World Cup: Free Fire is set to take the stage in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this week! The stakes are high for all eighteen teams as the winner will not only walk away with the biggest slice of the USD1,000,000 prize pool, but also get a ticket to compete in the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2024 in Brazil later this year.
Esports World Cup: Free Fire will be held across three stages. During the Knock-out Stage from Jul 10 to 12, teams will be separated into three groups of six, with two groups competing per day. The top 12 teams based on points collected over the three days will then proceed to the Point-Rush Stage on Jul 13, where all points will reset and teams will fight to earn headstart points going into the Grand Final. Last but not least, the Grand Final will kick off on Jul 14, with the teams battling it out in a race to the top.
Introducing the 18 Participating Teams
After weeks of intense competition at regional Free Fire World Series (FFWS) leagues as well as local qualifiers, 18 teams have emerged as the fierce contenders to the Esports World Cup (EWC) throne.
Group A comprises two teams each from Indonesia and Brazil, as well as one team each from Thailand and Mexico. Teams to look out for include EVOS Esports, a seasoned team that has collected the most number of Free Fire esports titles in Indonesia, Mexico’s 19esports, as well as FLUXO, a team which houses three former world champions.

Fans can also look forward to exciting action in Group B, the only group with no two representatives from the
same league. The group is made up of formidable teams such as FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Spring second and third seeds P Esports and Buriram United Esports, as well as Brazil’s LOUD, the team with the biggest fanbase in the country.

Finally, Group C will take the spotlight, with two teams from Thailand and one team each from Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, and Algeria. From rising community team Gaimin Gladiators to the aggressive Team Falcons, fans can watch out for tough and thrilling matches between teams in Group C.

Esports World Cup: Free Fire will be live streamed at 10pm GMT+8 daily on multiple streaming platforms including YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. Broadcast commentary will be available in nine languages, including English and Arabic. Fans around the world can also cheer for their favorite teams and experience the excitement with themed in-game missions between Jul 12 to 14.
