San Tan Valley, US –May 6, 2024– Independent publisher of video game books, Darren Hupke, will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund the release of 32 Bit Library Volume 4 on May 10th.

The 32 Bit Library series focuses on the original PlayStation catalog and takes readers through a chronological journey of curated titles with each entry.  Volume 1 covered every North American release by Capcom, Volume 2 covered Namco’s catalog, and Volume 3 focused on Konami’s PlayStation output. Inside, each game has a full written retrospective along with multiple screenshots and a double-page feature. There are also guest contributions from industry experts in each volume.

Volume 4 is focused on the combined catalog of Squaresoft, Atlus, Working Designs and Enix. A limited number of campaign backers will also have the option to submit their own stories to the book. Along with those bonus entries, Kurt Kalata from Hardcore Gaming 101, John Linneman from Digital Foundry and DF Retro, Jason Dvorak from GameRaveTV and Audi Sorlie from Limited Run Games are providing specialized entries that help share more about these games and take a deep dive into specific topics.

Volume 4 is already 80% completed, with only the bonus entries needing to be finalized to be print-ready. Once the Kickstarter campaign is completed and funds are processed, physical copies will be printed and distributed to backers, with estimated postage beginning before the end of September 2024.

Additionally, DRM-free digital copies of previous publications are available as optional add-ons, with physical versions also offered.
