63 Days • Releases September 26 • New Demo • PC • PlayStation 4/5 • Xbox One/Series X|S
Gliwice, Poland — August 1, 2024
August 1 marks the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. A valiant effort to free the Polish capital of Warsaw and beat back the German occupation lasted exactly sixty-three days, before meeting its tragic end. Aptly named, 63 Days pays homage to the unlikely, tragic heroes, but paints a fair picture of what perhaps was a desperate attempt that was doomed to fail from the start. It tells a universal story of brotherhood, youthful passion, and immense bravery against overwhelming odds. What happened in 1944 Warsaw is a reminder of the seemingly never-ending, repeating cycle in which stories like this echo throughout history and present time, in countries all over the world. World War II and the Warsaw Uprising should be seen as a warning to our generation about the cost of war. We tend to forget about the value of life and how many gave theirs in the fight for peace and freedom. The main characters in 63 Days are regular people, whose lives were uprooted with the outbreak of World War II.
At its heart, 63 Days is an isometric real-time tactics game that follows in the footsteps of Destructive Creations’ previous release, War Mongrels, building upon its gameplay mechanics. Players looking to scratch that tactical itch can expect a proven formula powered by quality graphics, fresh gameplay elements, and music produced by the legendary Adam Skorupa.
Everyone can now experience this story via the new demo on the 63 Days Steam page. The demo contains the tutorial, as well as the second mission in the game, where players can play through the first day of the Warsaw Uprising.
63 Days will release on September 26, 2024 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation®5 (PS5™), PlayStation®4 (PS4™), as well as Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. On PC, the game will also be additionally optimized for Intel® hardware to perform well on integrated platforms such as laptops and handhelds.
About 63 Days
I'm a part of the first generation born into a free Poland, after 123 years of foreign occupation. The outbreak of WWII stripped me of my family, home, and future. We're angry and tired but united. We're itching to do something, to regain some measure of control over our lives. My companions and I feel like we have only one choice: to get revenge and win back independence for our city and nation, or die trying.
The odds are overwhelmingly against us. We're like brothers and sisters, emboldened by our fighting spirit, relying on our wits, stealth, and teamwork. But will it all be enough?
If we plan well and execute correctly as a group, we may just stand a chance. They won't even know what hit them! We have a lot of options to approach each mission. Let's hope we make the right decisions and prevail.
Wherever our uprising takes us, our bravery will be remembered for generations. Our story will be told, there will be enough survivors to tell the tale. We'll employ good tactics, be fearless, be like ghosts.
We know how to fight. We prefer to be stealthy, to maximize our chances, and minimize our losses. But if that approach fails us, we'll shoot our way through.
We know Warsaw inside out. We'll use it to our advantage. The Germans may have destroyed large parts of the city, but that will come back to bite them now!
We're fewer in numbers, but stronger in motivation and the bonds that keep us together. Good cooperation is one of our strengths. Each of us has a different background, personality, and skills, but we can fight together well. Having a good friend to fight alongside you and have your back is not only more fun but also a big advantage.
