ABIT | On 15th October 2004 ABIT held the latest ACON Fatal1ty Shootout event, at the Great Wall near Beijing.
We invited the top four gamers in China to challenge Fatal1ty for a record prize of 1million RMB or $125,000 - the largest single prize ever offered in the history of gaming.
Mong Yang, age 21, beat Fatal1ty 25 frags to 8, to secure the big cheque and a sponsorship deal that will see him promote professional gaming as ABIT's lead gamer in China.
Mong's victory is not entirely surprising; considering he has secured two significant titles this year - WCG China UT2004 Champion and China Beijing Doom 3 million Challenge Champion.
This latest ACON Fatal1ty Shootout comes just weeks before the first Fatal1ty ABIT products are expected to hit stores around the world.
