The Keepers of the Stone DLC gets beefed up with new content, and the base game gets some love too!

November 27, 2024 - Hooded Horse and Eremite Games are excited to share details on the latest major update for the best-selling, popular roguelite city-building game Against the Storm. New free content for both the base game and the recently released Keepers of the Stone DLC is now available.
Anyone who bought the Keepers of the Stone expansion can look forward to a new biome, the Ashen Thicket, a land ravaged by relentless industrial exploitation and the devastating Blightstorm. This setting has a unique building, the Cornerstone Forge, where players can craft their own Cornerstones (up to three per game). Meanwhile, the Frog species will now be unlocked earlier, at level 9.
The base game gets the usual round of bug fixes, tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements, as well as a new world map event - Forsaken Towns. These allow players to attempt to resettle abandoned settlements where a previous viceroy had tried and failed in their own expeditions. Players taking on this challenge start with some buildings already in place and some settlement-level decisions already made. Salt has also been added as a new resource, so you can make those wounds that much more painful.

Against the Storm is available on PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 / ¥3,980. It’s also available on PC Game Pass. The game currently holds a 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with over 25,000 reviews, and a press kit is available.
