Burnham, UK –August 19, 2024– Indie game development studio WOMBEX Games announces that Bass Defense, a rhythm-based strategy game, is now available in Early Access on Steam, just in time for the Steam Rhythm Fest.

Bass Defense combines musical rhythm-based gameplay with strategic elements, where you must hit buttons in time with the music to clear NMYs attacking your base, using upgradeable defensive or offensive power-ups.

The Early Access version features 3 game modes with upgradable power-ups, 20 challenging levels, a top-down view, rhythm-sensitive destructible objects, and three difficulty levels with 9 power-ups.
 

Bass Defense offers nine performance enhancements, including extra health, stronger attacks and faster reload times, which add strategic depth to the rhythm-based gameplay. This combination of music and strategy provides an immersive experience as you defend your base from enemies.
 

The full version has 3 game modes (Soundwave, Overcharge, and Fingerton), 20 playable levels, and 9 power-ups. Until the end of Early Access, we aim to gather feedback to refine power-up mechanics, balance gameplay, and enhance level details. We might also reset savegames if any update requires that.
