Become a god, and conquer the galaxy with your crazy, psychedelic minions

Bologna, Italy – July 2th, 2024 - KRING - IT’S HARD TO BE A GOD, is now available for download on Steam [link steam page].

Follow the evolutionary ladder and gradually unlock different game modes to evolve your Krings, build your army and lead it through space towards the Planet of the Gods in this crazy solo-dev clicker-arcade-adventure game!

Play over 10 different minigames to lead the Kring to the final battle with the Cool Gods, in a crazy arcade clicker-adventure.

Clicker, bullet hell, top-down platform, side-scroller platform, shoot'em up, beat'em up, and other strange genres that defy categorization. KRING is an experience full of variety that will show you the core of a single-dev game.

KRING releases with four DLCs:

  • KRING Soundtrack, all the tracks from the game to vibe at the rhythm of this crazy galaxy.

  • Digital Artbook, see the evolution of the game and admire the unique art style from the game.

  • A digital archive of old C64 games scrapbooks, enter the mind of the game developer with this companion piece.

  • The digital edition of the book Life of videogames: 8-bit memories , humble self-celebration by the developer, discover his history in the game development world.

When a video game is created, the smaller the development team, the easier it is to see the reflection of the soul of the developer in it.

KRING was made by a single person, Ivan Venturi, an experienced Italian game developer. When you play Kring you enter his mind and his approach to game development: the random design.

Kring was built piece by piece without following any initial blueprints or plans, every part of the game was made following what was going through the head of the developer at the time.

Hand-drawn art, psychedelic mini-games and off-the-wall game design make KRING - IT’S HARD TO BE A GOD an extremely peculiar experience.

In KRING you take the mantle of a “loser” god and you have to take care of the Kring breeds, the least clever creatures in the universe.

Some tips, to be used after you have played it 'normally':
1) in the start menu, type ASTROPUPPA
(BTW Astropuppa is the worst absurdly priced game on Steam)
2) when something appears, press H
3) in the start menu, click the flower at the top centre
4) from the options screen, activate the games on the instruction pages
The wait is over, get Kring on Steam now!
