Redwood City, CA - March 4th, 2024. – HR GAMES today announced that it has released BROADSWORD: WARLORD EDITIONTM for Microsoft XBOX ONE® & Nintendo Switch® devices. Based on famous historical events and set in the medieval period, BROADSWORDTM is a 3D turn based strategy game that allows players to recreate classic single and two-player gaming experiences managing your resources, fighting your enemies and conquering new lands.
BROADSWORD: WARLORD EDITIONTM boasts turn-based strategy gameplay as players move from mission to mission in the Middle Ages. Command one of five different armies: the Polish Kingdom of Wladyslaw I of Poland, , Henry III of England, Joan Of Arc of France, Peter I of Spain, or the Hapsburg Empire in this exciting historically based experience! Lead different forces into battle -- including archers, knights, pikemen and catapults, battering rams along with special units per nationality. Command special “hero” units such as Henry III, Joan of Arc and Wladyslaw I, among others whose special “hero” powers can affect the entire battlefield. BROADSWORD: WARLORD EDITION™ allows players to construct buildings to raise units and create resources for their empires, as well as research technologies.

Key HEROES lead the player’s army to enhance their combat value!
Units gain in experience as they fight battle to battle.
Hire Mercenaries to aide you in your conquest.
Combat Advisor provides an indication of how the battle might go!
Unique weapons per empire and technology tree for improving weapons and techniques.
Players construct & upgrade buildings into castles, build mines, mills, and farms to raise units and create resources for their empires!
Use Siege engines to destroy your opponents’ castles!
Hidden movement and special abilities allow players to build a strategy.
Use the Terrain to your advantage in defence or attack!
Manage and build Archery Ranges, Horse Stables, Catapults, Trebuchets, Battering Rams, Mines, Farms, Castles, Mercenaries and Polish Winged Hussars and much more!
Dealing with weather conditions and time of day!
Optional features like FOG OF WAR & Challenging maps
Turn-based combat keeps the battle moving at the player-preferred pace.
Players can play any of the campaigns solo or challenge a friend in HOTSEAT mode. Plan wisely! Historically accurate maps provide distinct weather conditions that can help or hinder your troops. Players can utilize the environment to gain defensive bonuses and recovering from battle or suffer penalties. Construct and upgrade buildings like town centers, mines, mills and farms to raise units and create resources for your empire. Research different technologies like forestry, ballistics, husbandry and more to advance your empire’s technology. Tactical use of mercenaries can strengthen your army and give you an edge.
