[Japan – November 19, 2024] – Publisher Selecta Play and developers Team Ladybug and WSS Playground are excited to reveal that the 5-Year Anniversary Limited Collector’s and Physical Editions of Touhou Luna Nights will be available on March 21, 2025. Alongside this news, the teams are excited to unveil a special look at these editions in a new trailer that highlights the physical Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 boxes for the game, alongside additional pack-ins like an exclusive game manual and more. After more than five years since the game’s release back in 2018, captivating metroidvania Touhou Luna Nights, developed with permission from Touhou Project, has sold more than half a million copies, garnering more than 12,000 “extremely positive” reviews on Steam. To celebrate this exciting milestone, Selecta Play has revealed a physical 5-Year Anniversary Limited Edition of the game that includes all kinds of exclusive goodies like a 5-Year Anniversary Collector’s Box, a physical version of the game on either Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, a new game manual, a steel book, a double CD edition of the original soundtrack, three alternate box art inlays, and a serialized certificate of authenticity. All of this can be yours for $89.99 – preorders are open right now via Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, and VGP.
If you haven’t played Touhou Luna Nights yet, it’s an exploration-focused 2D metroidvania from Team Ladybug, the developer behind Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit In Wonderland Labyrinth and Drainus. With action based on protagonist Sakuya’s inherent ability to stop time and knife-throwing skills, defeat dangerous bosses with attacks expressed through stunning sprite animations. Utilize devastating combo attacks and complete graceful evasions to survive combat, heal, and more.
The 5-Year Anniversary Limited Edition of Touhou Luna Nights will be available in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, and German, and will launch March 21, 2025.
