FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FULTON, Md. – Sept. 26, 2024 – Impact GameworksJRPG Flowstone Saga is launching today on Steam. Fall in love with an array of colorful characters, help build the town of New Riverstone, and enjoy a totally unique battle system in this meticulously crafted 16-bit RPG. Intriguing story, gorgeous pixel art, lots of customization, plus an epic soundtrack … Flowstone Saga has it all (even a few cheeky frogs)!

The brainchild of Andrew Aversa and Andrew Luers, Flowstone Saga’s origin story began when the two Andrews met in the 2000s through a mutual interest in video game music – as part of the OverClocked ReMix community. Aversa (a professional producer and composer) and Luers (a graphic designer and multi-instrumentalist) collaborated for the first time on Tangledeep. Since then, they’ve continued to work together on additional Tangledeep content and as co-designers on Flowstone Saga – with Aversa as lead programmer and Luers as creative director.

Enter the world of Ocean’s End and play as Mirai –  a spunky heroine who builds her party and home as she begins to embrace her new-found powers and find her place in the world. With an innovative twist on combat, Flowstone Saga allows players to choose at will between turn-based and real-time combat – skillfully making use of puzzle combat mechanics to shake things up. Tactical thinking triumphs over pirates, giant beetles, and at least ONE axolotl! Fans of classic SNES and PlayStation RPGs will feel right at home as they explore, build, fight, and cast their way through Flowstone Saga’s mysterious world.
